Chef Joy's Top 5 Coffee Shops
I am in love with coffee. Without it, I would not be able to function at the level I do. There are days I work up to 20 hours and well, coffee saves me. Here are my Chef picks for the best Coffee Shops in town:
Downtown | 311 Gold Ave SE, 87102
I love the “Brew Brothers” as I affectionately refer to them. Their coffee brand is VILLA MYRIAM of which is obtained from their grandfathers farm in Columbia and roasted here in ABQ. There shop is a quaint little place with seating, couches, tables and benches that a vast majority of downtowners visit to conduct business or just grab a delicious cup of coffee on their way to work. My favorite is the Café Con Coco with real coconut cream. They also have brewed teas of 8 varieties for those tea lovers.
Downtown | 413 2nd St., 87102
I love it’s hip, young artistic vibe and apparently I am not the only one since they are featured in http://www.extracrispy.com/food/2818/51-of-the-best-coffee-shops-in-america as one of the best coffee shops in America.
Nob Hill | 4200 Lomas Blvd, 87110
Tiny but cool business vibe with the rustic blue counter and lavender honey coffee! Yes, I said it, and it is amazing. I love the culinary approach to their flavor profiles and cool coffee blends.
Michael Thomas Coffee Roaster
Nob Hill | Silver and Carlisle
Can you say cool, light and bright with hardwood floors and coffee classes! How cool is this! They educate their patrons on coffee flavors, roasting and beans. I love this so much and feel like everyone should take a class and bump up their bean game.
Trifecta Coffee Company
Westside | 413 Montaño Rd NE, 87107
I like the variety of world coffees available to purchase or taste as well as the variety of roasting methods. They also offer pastries with your order.
Food is love and coffee loves you back.
